Technical features of the weather station

The station is located in Sicily, north of the City of Pedara, province of Catania at 700 meters, above sea level.

Record the following data: Temperature - Humidity - Air Pressure - Wind speed and direction - Precipitation - Dew Point - Wind Chill - Heat Index - Heat THW Index - Heat Index THSW - Solar Radiation - Ultraviolet Radiation - Evapotranspiration daily with K-factor correction.

The stations are two: a La Crosse WS2357 and Oregon WMRS200.

Record and send data and weather parameters with their respective console receivers who, in turn move through the "data logger" to your PC. The station also has a self made VLF loop antenna coupled with a card that collection and processing data (for BLITZORTUNG) for the detection of lightning through a map that shows in "real time" the future of electric discharges in the atmosphere and allows you to track the movement of weather fronts. The electrical activity of more than 50 lightning strikes / minute may indicate hail or tornadoes. It also has an accelerometer for detecting movements of the ground, in partnership with the QCN E BOINCITALY. The station finally, is automatically linked with the various geostationary satellites (eg satellite MSG (Met - 9) using software WEVIEW - updated every 15 minutes - noting the dates of many radiometers (License to Use Data MSG - EUMETSAT).
